About
Street Cat Cafe was created as a branding and motion design project centered around the idea of a late-night coffee shop built for creatives, overnight workers, and anyone looking for a place to recharge after hours. The goal was to create a brand identity that felt energetic, welcoming, and slightly mischievous while still remaining clean and recognizable.
The logo design combines multiple ideas into a single mark. The raccoon mascot became the foundation of the concept, inspired by the “street” aspect of the brand and the late-night atmosphere associated with the café. To reinforce the idea of the space doubling as a place to work or relax, I incorporated a Wi-Fi symbol into the design that also forms the raccoon’s face. This allowed the logo to communicate both the café environment and its connection to productivity and community in a simple, memorable way.
For the animation, I wanted the movement to feel playful and full of personality. I explored a more cartoon-inspired style using exaggerated bounce, squash and stretch, and dynamic timing to bring the logo to life. The final sequence features logo elements assembling through energetic motion, helping emphasize the quirky and expressive tone of the brand while maintaining a polished final presentation.
This project involved concept development, logo design, style exploration, and motion animation, with a strong focus on storytelling through movement and branding.
